lately

Since our camera broke we have been borrowing our neighbors camera. Their camera is considerably better than ours so we have been trying to figure out how exactly to use it. Well, Kel has spent more time figuring it out than I have. I just turn it on and click! Hopefully after we get our own camera we will get better at taking pictures. Here are some that Kel took the other night when the fog settled on golf course at dusk. Having thick fog here is kind of rare so it was cool to see. This was the view out our back door...

I especially love this next picture. It is totally their personalities!!!! Arie with the cheesiest grin she can possible display, and Liam standing sweetly next to her holding his package!!! HA! Boys have the fascination their whole life! I don't know if you remember the pics of my black eye... but that happened because of an incident on a water slide. Well ever since that event Liam has been a little scared of the water. He loves going to the beach and the pool, but he will only get in water up to his shins, or he will only stay in the baby pool. In the last two weeks he has starting putting his face in the water and holding his breath for around 5 seconds. THAT IS A HUGE IMPROVEMENT!!!!! Well I'd been thinking lately about getting him some goggles. I have had a few friends here who have told me that when they got goggles for their kids it really helped. Today we went to a sporting goods store to pick some out. Liam is always happy to get new things so he was excited to pick them out even though he had no idea what they were for. We actually ran into another pilot and his wife at the store. The wifes name is Catherine and she has been a swimmer almost all her life and she has taught swim lessons for many years. So we picked up goggles and arranged swim lessons. I'm so excited because we are trying to get to Palau and Austrailia as soon as we can so I really want Liam to snorkel. When we got home from the store Liam wanted to get in the tub immediatly to try out the goggles. When we were at the store Liam kept calling the goggles GOBBLES... then when we got home he wanted to get the tub with the BOGGLES... then while in the tub he thanked me for the WOBBLES!!!! So funny! Anyway as you can see he LOVED THEM!!!!!!!

Our camera decided to give up on us. One day it just decided to not turn on anymore. That was well over a month ago and we have not replaced it yet.
After Kel's 15 hours of internet research (seriously he took FOREVER) we have finally decided which one we want. Now all we have to do is find a way for it to be shipped to Guam!!!!! That is harder than it sounds. Hopefully we will have some pics up soon!!!!!!

clearing things up

Ok, I guess the post I put up a couple of days ago was a little freaky. I didn't mean to scare anyone. Kelly is still working and we are fine. I was just complaining because the airlines are not doing well right now. Actually everyone in the USA is suffering from gas prices and the unstable economy. And as we know, if people don't have extra cash they don't travel!!!!! When people stop traveling then the airlines make cutbacks.
I was just complaining because I was frusterated that day. We are fine. But plenty of pilots from many airlines have no idea what is in store for them. Somebody needs to give the oil companies big huge spankings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a little complaining.....

Ok - Sorry that I haven't posted in a while and now I'm going to complain!

What the hell is wrong with our government?!?!?!?!?!?!? How in the world can it be legal for oil to be so high??????? EVERYONE is hurting from this and no one is really doing anything about it!

I'm seriously about to lose my mind thinking about it. We are paying $4.70 a gallon here! And that I don't mind as much - but I HATE what the rising cost of oil is doing to my husbands career! The airlines are hurting jsut like everyone else. And if they try to raise ticket prices by a measly $20 people get their panties in a wad and act like the airlines are this evil corporation tryig to steal from them. How bout this PEOPLE....... What about the people that work for the airlines? They are just trying to stay a float too in this mess of an economy! Come on - you have to have a family of 5 to even be effected by $100. So while everyone is crying over ticket prices going up, the airlines and the airline employees and their families are one by one being put out on the street. Why does it seem that every man is out for himself. What about the greater good?

Anyway - next time you find yourself at the pump moaning about the rising cost of gas -think of the airpline employee who no longer has a job now, and they are at the same pump paying the same price as you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
